Swing Dance Series
Every Tuesday of September : 5, 12, 19, and 26th at Starline Social Club
Level 1 : Charleston
We know what Charleston looks like in the movies - the high kicks and huge grins - but it’s so much better when you dance it! This class will cover the 8-count Charleston basic and throw in a few spicy additions/variations that you can bust out on the social dance floor. Suitable for faster tempos, you can use Charleston in a variety of ways: to add flair, to catch a breather when the music gets too fast, or just to have fun!
Level 2: Movement
Veronica and Kevin love using jazz moves in their social dancing - they’re a great way to connect your movement with the music and to inject more fun and more of your personality into a dance. Each week, you’ll learn a couple new jazz moves and the teachers will give you examples of how these moves can be integrated into your dancing. If you’re feeling like you’re doing the same moves over and over again, try this class and see what other types of movement are out there and learn to incorporate them!
