What is included when I buy a class series package?

 
  • Free entry to the social dance at 8:00pm each Thursday

  • Free entry to the live band night on the last week of the month (Advanced Topics not included)

  • A month-long progressive class series

  • Cost varies from $45-$85 depending on the number of weeks in the month. There is a $10 discount for purchasing online before the first week.

Our Curriculum

  • No experience or partner required.

    7:00 - 8:00 pm

    The Beginner series has 4 months of curriculum that can be taken in any order. Each series begins on the first Thursday of the month and is progressive, which means every week builds on the weeks before. Drop-ins are allowed only on the first week. Each topic will also be slightly different each time it’s taught, so you can take the same topic multiple times if you’re not sure you’re fully comfortable with all the material in that topic yet.

    The Intermediate class series covers a wide variety of core lindy hop skills for students well along their way in their dance journey. There are loosely 24 months of topics/skills found in Intermediate.

  • Prerequisites: Beginner series (ALL 4 topics at least once each). Some Elective topics may have extra requirements.

    7:00 - 8:00 pm

    This series includes a variety of non-core Lindy Hop skills including: swing-adjacent dance styles like Balboa and Collegiate Shag, choreographed performances, line dances, and Lindy Hop class topics that are not core but will help you improve various aspects of your dancing.

  • Prerequisites: 8+ months of Intermediate

    7:00 - 8:00 pm

    Once a month: ONLY on the last Thursday of each month

    Intermediate/Advanced Practice Session is held on the last Thursday of each month. These practices are meant for dancers who are very comfortable with Intermediate content, have danced and taken classes regularly for at least a year, and are willing to be more collaborative and self-directed than a typical class setting. Ideas will be given for inspiration, but you are encouraged to bring your own ideas to work on. Coming with a dance partner is not required but is allowed and recommended. Expect to workshop moves and ideas with other dancers, give and receive constructive feedback, and build connections in the Lindy Hop community!

  • Prerequisites: Approval required. Complete this Audition Form to be considered for approval.

    7:00 - 8:00 pm

    Shortened series: Does NOT include the last Thursday of each month

    This series is meant to challenge our most experienced students. Students who have danced for multiple years and have put in training and effort outside of classes into things like practice sessions, video reviews, weekend workshops, private lessons, competing, or teaching.

    Advanced Topics has no set curriculum. Each month will feature a new topic and teachers who will bring challenging content that they are working on themselves. Some topics may have extra requirements.
