In 1998, dancers from Chicago made the trek to the San Francisco Bay Area, sparking a global movement in "traveling for the dance" with the first recorded lindy hop exchange. We are excited to announce a revival and reimagination of this movement right here in the Bay, celebrating the unique signatures of our Northern California dance communities!
Join us on Saturday, October 10th, 2026 for a night of live music, a showcase of creativity, musicality, and personality through friendly inter-scene competition, and more!

Transit Recommendations
Main Dance: Lake Merritt Dance is a 14 minute walk from the 19th St Oakland BART station.
Late Night: Revival Hall is a 11 minute walk from the MacArthur BART station. After the main dance ends, you can take the orange line BART from 19th St to MacArthur. Alternatively, walk 13 minutes to Telegraph Ave & 24th St, then take the AC Transit 6 bus along Telegraph Ave from 24th St to 45th St , then walk 3 min to get to Revival Hall.
The BART (Official) app can help with BART trip planning, and Google Maps is reliable to find routes and get real time information for AC transit bus routes.
Both BART and AC Transit buses fares can be purchased by tapping a credit card or bank card at the Clipper reader at the station/on the bus.
Street parking is also available surrounding both Saturday night venues, but may be difficult to find a spot close to the venue. When parking, please ensure to not leave any valuables anywhere in your vehicle or any belongings in sight.
